Differences between Method Seven FX and FX2 lenses

Method Seven's new FX2 lenses represent a significant evolution from the previous FX model. Designed to accommodate new lighting technologies such as red LED chips and UV light, FX2 lenses offer improved eye protection under full spectrum LED lights. Compared to the original FX lenses, FX2 lenses provide more effective filtering of UV and infrared rays, reducing eye fatigue and improving clarity of vision, especially under the bright intensity of the latest generation of grow lights, even when at 100% power.
This innovation meets the need for greater safety, better protecting eyes and skin during long work sessions in indoor growing environments.

• Adjusted colour balance to handle added red chips.
• Precise filtering of the LED lighting spectrum: reduction of peaks from 660 to 700 nm and from 385 to 440 nm.
• Full UV protection: increased LED chips below 400 nm on new LED devices means more UV.

The new FX2 lenses are an engineering marvel, designed in collaboration with Carl Zeiss Laboratories, ophthalmologists, optical physicists and even an electrical engineer. Experience comfort and safety as you work under full spectrum LED lights and CMH / LEC lamps from 3,000°K - 4,200°K. Full spectrum LED technology emits powerful band and potentially UVC radiation; while CMH/LEC lamps contain UV and infrared.It may seem like an average sunny day under full spectrum lights, but these 'engineered lenses' require superb protection. The FX2 lens is remarkable in its ability to obtain high levels of beneficial light comfortably and safely, allowing your eyes to work more naturally and with less effort. The FX2 lens also blocks some nearby infrared, which helps keep your eyes cool and moist.
